The menu "Assets" allows you to enter the two categories of ASSETS in Budgeto:
- Capital assets
- Investments
CAPITAL ASSETS: The menu "Capital assets" allows you to plan your investments in tangible assets (buildings, equipment, furniture, etc.) or intangible assets (patents, trademarks, software, etc.) by identifying the amount and expected month of each investment. Capital asset is defined as any asset that has a useful life longer than one year and is not intended for sale during the normal course of business.
Tangible assets
- Lands (vacant land, timberland, storage yard, etc.)
- Buildings (factory, warehouse, commercial condo, etc.)
- Building improvements (improvement of a building that belongs to you)
- Office equipment (desks, chairs, coffee machine, etc.)
- Computer equipment (computers, printers, monitors, etc.)
- Machinery and equipment (factory equipment, tools, etc.)
- Other equipment (other equipment)
Intangible assets
- Patents and trademarks (patentability search, application filing, etc.)
- Goodwill (excess of purchase consideration)
- Incorporation fees (legal fees, notary fees, government fees, etc.)
- Financing fees (analysis fees to obtain a loan)
- Software and websites (software license, websites, mobile apps, etc.)
- Proprietary software (development costs for software)
INVESTMENTS: The menu "Investments" allows you to create investments, to identify the total amount, interest rate and expected month of each investment. An investment is the purchase of an asset or item with the hope that it will generate income or appreciate in the future and be sold at the higher price. Investment examples:
- Gold
