Hope you enjoyed the video!  Now let us explain the basics of Budgeto. There are seven main sections in Budgeto: 

SALES: Allows you to create goods or services and plan their schedule of sale

EXPENSES: Allows you to create expenses, to manage their occurrence, and to choose a payment term for your suppliers

EMPLOYEES: Allows you to hire employees, to identify their first month of work and to manage their salary on an annual or monthly basis

ASSETS: Allows you to enter your capital assets and investments
FUNDING: Allows you to enter your lines of credit, debts, share capital, grants, and tax credits
REPORTS:  All your financial reports (check at the end of the article to download a PDF and Excel sample from Budgeto)

HISTORICAL DATA: Your past data from your accounting

FIRST thing to do is to start filling the SALES section. This is the heart of Budgeto, whether you are a startup, an existing company, this is where to start in order to understand the true power of Budgeto and create a stunning budget! 

Either if your company has several years of operations, or you have just started your business a few months ago: HISTORICAL DATA should be the part to be left for later. IT'S THE LAST ONE TO FILL and may require some accounting skills. Even if you think it would be better to enter your actual numbers before forecasting, we strongly recommend that you keep it for the end.


This is where you'll enter your:

Sales: How to enter Sales (revenues) in Budgeto

Expenses: How to enter Expenses in Budgeto

Employees:When should I enter an employee?

Assets: What is Capital Assets

Investments: How to enter Investments in Budgeto

Funding: How to enter Funding in Budgeto

Reports: How to export a budget
